CASE STUDY – TAMALE WATER SUPPLY EXPANSION AND OPTIMISATION, GHANA
Biwater was awarded a contract for the expansion and rehabilitation of the Tamale Water Supply system. The improvements will include a new intake structure and pumping equipment, a raw water pipeline, additional water storage reservoirs, distribution pipe work and a booster pump station.
The project will be joint funded by the Government of the Netherlands and the Government of Ghana and will be completed two years from the commencement date.
This reliable supply of potable water will also improve primary health care and social benefits as well as increase business opportunities and tourism to Tamale.
