Verderflex peristaltic hose pumps are suited to the dosing and transfer of abrasive, viscous and solid-laden fluids, particularly where suction lift is required or the product is shear-sensitive.
The peristaltic principle uses an open flow path through a hose to accommodate the fluid with a rotor compressing and relaxing the hose, creating a vacuum seal. The fluid is drawn in to the pump, which pushes out the discharge, creating powerful suction.
There are no moving parts that come into contact with the fluid, just the hose, which is the only wearing part.
Common applications include the dosing of chemicals for sewage and wastewater treatment, dosing of additives and transfer of sewage and sludge containing solids and abrasive slurry, such as those found in the mining and wastewater industries.
Maximum duties:
- Flow rate 90m³/h
- Discharge pressure 16bar
- Solid size 125mm
- Viscosity up to 40,000cPs
- True self-priming
